Broadening their music between Cardiff and London, Paper Aeroplanes create a distinctive sound under Sarah’s unique vocals. After the success of their first album “The Day We Ran Into the Sea”, Paper Aeroplanes took on another challenge with their second album “We Are Ghosts”, which relies on a more personal, raw sound. Almost the entire album was recorded in Richard’s spare room, the band have exposed their personal emotions. Mixed by David Wrench, the band is hoping that this album will be just as successful as their first. “We Are Ghosts” consists of seven tracks, each played in different styles, creating different feelings for whoever is listening. “Save It” and “Same Mistakes” are the acoustic numbers on the album. These songs reveal a great amount of emotion and with a gentle, acoustic feel to the songs, Sarah sings with such emotion that it’s almost impossible not to pay attention to the lyrics, which are so well written, it’s like poetry. “Stones Inside Your Shoes” and “My First Love” are the most textured songs on the album. With a full band, the pace stands out and the range of instruments adds hugely to the sound. The second half of the album has a different sound from the first half. Title track “We Are Ghosts” has a unique folk sound to it with a slow pace. This song really stands out and each section differs and adds a new listening experience. “Safe Hands” is my favourite track on the album and I think the sections are so clear they speak out in different ways. Sarah’s vocals are sung with so much feeling and the relationship between her melody and the guitar creates a perfect correlated sound. The final track, “Days We Made”, is the best choice of song to end the album and the simple guitar melody creates a finite sound that closes the album gracefully. Paper Aeroplanes are a unique band from West Wales who have persevered with their talents over 6 years, changing their style throughout their EPs, and I think they have reached such a distinct sound with this album, you can almost hear their story through the sound they have created. Check them out, they are pretty amazing!

威尔士的英系小清新乐队,温暖有如阳光洒落一般的嗓音,又好似春风袭来,少女情怀扑面而来一样。<My First Love>还把中国说的好遥远,my first love would have sailed to china and back again for me
