From Bard, the crew migrated to San Francisco and worked some sand and sea into their sprawling sound. A new bass player, Diego Gonzalez, gave the group a strong foundation, as they began to experiment. Fusing the orchestral, melodrama of folk with the plugged-in power of rock, the Dry Spells self-released their first EP. As personnel changed and side projects formed, the EP fell into the ands of Antenna Farm Records. Too Soon for Flowers, the Dry Spells’ debut album, quickly emerged
