And now, Suckers are about to do it all over again, starting this month. The Brooklynites will hit the road with the similarly strange Local Natives in support of their upcoming debut, Wild Smile, which hits stores on June 8th, via Frenchkiss Records. While Suckers’ self-titled EP helped ram the band into the spotlight last year (thanks to NPR and Rolling Stone) Wild Smile promises catchy and simplistic pop songs filled with echoing synths and soothing guitar riffs. Well, that’s if their new cover of The Raveonettes’ “Boys Who Rape” has anything to say about it. And, if you get the chance, we highly recommend you check these Suckers out. They’re already scheduled for a couple of sold out shows at the Bowery Ballroom, several SXSW dates, and three long months of endless traveling cross-country with the Local Natives. So yeah, it’s kind of a big deal.
