A single broken tree stands in a field of mud. Rain from an ashen sky. Quiet. There are humans here no longer. Occasionally a deep sound reaches one's ears from far off. Water pools in the low places. The melancholic timbre of the rain.
Grasses of green and pale brown. Bird calls. Where are these birds? Looking to the sky, one can see them flit here and there, like the reds, purples, and yellows of wild flowers scattered here and there. A softness.
