I have always found it to be a little too unwieldy, and I'm never 100% satisfied with the tone or the final product after recording. So in a way this a project to help me get over this aversion. Sometime late in 2018 I made the decision to focus energy on an atmospheric doom metal album. The result of my initial attempt came in the form of a Halloween split I did for label Cavern Brew Records (cbrcbr.bandcamp.com/album/halloween-split-series-18-7) In March of this year I spent sometime continuing this journey. Its a rather gritty demo for the beginning of a whole new musical project that for the time being I have settled on calling Parenthetical These tracks were recorded on March 25th (with the exception of the first track which was recorded on April 15th) at my home in East Montpelier. I used only a Squire fretless Jazz bass recorded direct through my pedal chain which included an TC Electronics T2 Reverb, EHX Freeze, Boss RC-20 Loop Station, MXR M80 Bass DI+
