The Just Joans成立于1997年,而直到2005年他们才发行了首张专辑"last tango in motherwell",被"Is this music" 杂志的Tony Kiernan描述成当年苏格兰乐坛的最佳专辑.这张专辑只做了七张,而其中四张被Tony买走.之后乐队在新兴indie pop厂牌"Weepop! records"发行了三张EP:"virgin lips", "hey boy...you're oh so sensitive" and "love and other hideous accidents" .
