Matthew Stephen Ward is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Portland, Oregon. Ward's solo work is a mixture of folk and blues-inspired Americana analog recordings; he has released ten studio albums since 1999, primarily through independent label Merge Records.

做一张这样的专辑对Matthew Ward来说绝对是毫不费力的，但深夜听这张专辑好幸福好幸福，看着糟糕透顶没有美感的封面，满天繁星和闪烁的城市夜景，听到Real Silence就不自觉地哭了。
