　　Like many Gen Z kids who grew up on the internet, 20-year-old Jakarta-born, LA-based NIKI's influences are wide-ranging and genre-busting. NIKI has slammed the door on the conventions of teen pop stardom—writing, recording, and producing her music on her own. In 2018 NIKI released her debut project Zephyr EP which waterfalled into a tour supporting pop superstar Halsey on her Asia tour, followed by the 88rising Head In The Clouds Festival and 88 Degrees and Rising North America Tour. NIKI was recognized as a "one-of-a-kind artist" on the verge of an "inevitable rise", and closed out the year as one of Complex's Best New Artists of 2018. This year, Niki has continued her growth as an artist, releasing her second EP project Wanna Take This Downtown?, which has quickly gained 35M+ streams since its' release this May. Over the past year and a half, NIKI has shot into global consciousness and amassed over 210M+ streams across all releases on DSPs.
　　88rising & NIKI's new single “Indigo” is the first single off of 88rising's second annual summer Head In The Clouds album. The album will also be supported by collaborative artwork from the legendary Japanese fine artist, illustrator and industrial designer Hajime Sorayama, whose self-described “superrealist” work has been featured most notably in his recent Pre-Fall 2019 collaboration with Dior, as well as his permanent collections at the MoMA in New York City, and the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. Last year’s Head In The Clouds album garnered over 450 million streams, with lead single “Midsummer Madness” reaching #1 on Spotify’s Global and U.S. Viral Charts. The album featured a bevy of A-List talent around the globe, including Playboi Carti, GoldLink, Phum Viphurit, Verbal, BlocBoy JB, and more.
　　“Indigo” is a sultry anthem written by NIKI and produced with Rogét Chahayed (credits include: "Cranes in the Sky" by Solange, "Bad At Love" by Halsey, "For The Love of Money" by Dr. Dre), Wesley Singerman, and Taylor Dexter. "Indigo" is the first single released for the upcoming 88rising crew album Head In The Clouds II, which is slated for released late summer.
