　　Anchored in the aggression of bands like Killswitch Engage and As I Lay Dying while channelling the pop sensibility of Story of the Year and Cartel, Forgiven Rival are quickly gaining momentum and drawing the attention of national audiences, sharing the stage with Underoath (USA), Story Of The Year (USA), Escape The Fate (USA), The Audition (USA), Parkway Drive (AU), Silverstein (USA), Project 86 (USA), Boys Night Out (CAN), MXPX (USA), I Killed The Prom Queen (AU), Carpathian (AU), The Getaway Plan (AU), Behind Crimson Eyes (AU), and more.
　　In 2006 Forgiven Rival independently released their debut EP 'The Symphony of Words' - selling out two pressings. 2008 has seen the successful Australian/Japanese release of their Debut Album 'This is a War' through El Shaddai Records, now entering its second press.
　　The past five months has seen the band take on new management, a new booking agent, support Underoath, Story of the Year, The Audtion and Escape The Fate at Billboards, land endorsement deals with Zildjian, Roulette Custom Drums, ESP Guitars, Hughes & Kettner Amps and Dean Markley Strings, sign a US publishing deal, receive an invitation to play Canadian Music Week, and shot a new film-clip in support of the new single "Like The Effects of the Wind" - released August 5th... and this is just the beginning.
