5/5 Gorgeous instrumental/spoken word album released by Prefab Sprout's front man. The title track, twenty something minutes long, slowly draws the listener in with a repetitive melody garnished with lush instrumental arrangements and a dreamlike voice narrating random curiosities. The second half doesn't disappoint either.
非常喜欢同名曲，reflective and conciliatory. 其他曲倒还好。wiki上说Paddy McAloon在失明的那段时间开始听无线电节目，于是把不同节目里的对话和句子杂糅成了里面的词。听的时候想到最近computational linguistics课上读的n-gram model生成的文字段落，locally meaningful but doesn’t make any sense as a whole. 这种错位碎片还挺美的，而且人脑总能找到拼凑出意义的方法。

同名这样的人声念白总有种诉说感，因此就算听不懂的部分也可以吸收。喜欢这张专辑也不是为了第一首。喜欢这种室内乐爵士的感觉，宏大而并不冠冕堂皇。也因此学到了sophisti pop这个genre。
