　　The House of Love are one of the greatest, most underrated British guitar bands. Hailing from London in the late 80’s, their detailed psychedelic guitar work marked a new era in guitar renaissance. The House of Love’s music is filled with melancholic splendor. Clear, shimmering electric guitars, warm sonic acoustics, along with Guy Chadwick’s tormented, joyful and florid tone and lyrics remind us of their songwriting brilliance. The House of Love stand on their own. From their unparalleled produced studio albums to their powerful live performances, their music transcends the test of time.
　　Appeal to Heaven’s Footnote:
　　The first time I listened to the “Butterfly” album, I knew I was listening to something special. Every song felt like poetry. I immediately purchased everything they had released, and it was like finding treasure. I quickly realized the beauty and shimmering brilliance of their songwriting. Their influence seeped into our own songs and made us better musicians . I always looked forward to those soft moments of Guy Chadwick picking away on the acoustic guitar while singing in his distinct warm florid tone with songs like Phone, All Night Long, Fade Away, etc. The House of Love are and will continue to be one of the greatest guitar bands of our generation.
