But in contrast with the lo-fi home recordings that made Jesso’s album so anticipated, this one is clear and crisp, and it ends with a bombardment of brass not unlike Radiohead’s “Life In A Glass House.” Jesso sings with trademark melancholy about his attempts to make a living as a songwriter in Los Angeles, solemnly concluding, “I think I’m gonna die in Hollywood.” Listen below.
