In March of 2006 the Ah-Q Jazz Arkestra went into the studio; a converted theatre classroom on the outskirts of Beijing. The double CD features a wide range of styles and playing in the jazz genre including a blazing vocal remake of My Favorite Things, a funk adaptation of an Ornette Coleman classic, Old Gospel, and nine instrumental originals written by Roberts, Beckstead and Liu Xiaoguang.
