宗教性与浪漫的结合

Franck in his early years tried to become a religious priest but later given up the idea to devote himself enritely to embrace life, music and composition. It is well known that he is deeply religious throughout his life and as a renowned church organist, he composed piano works modelled on different registers of the organ. Unlike Bruckner, his profound emotions and experiences of life are eminently visible in these intimate expressions of his keyboard creativity, both on the organ and on the piano. Pianistically he is particularly inspired by Liszt.
