In his 7th album, Lee Hyun Woo showed his musical spectrum performing blues, jazz, hiphop, hard core and on. 7th album did have a great jump start from his previous two albums which helped him come back into music business. However, that jump wasn't good enough to fully express his color. His fans can not always long for "Hae Uh Jin Da Eum Nal" kind of Lee Hyun Woo. Visa verca, Lee Hyun Woo is not required to sing same kind of music all the time. With experiments, thoughts, and strengths, great albums can be born. (Even if it doesn't become a hit album, it will be paid off sooner or later.) His 8th album [Da Painkiller] is filled with great music which blows away the "less" and "what if" parts of his 7th album. If you have already listened to his new album, you would understand why he is so confident in his music. This album is filled with 14 great songs which show his intended colors. Fractal has performed in this album along Lee Hyun Woo. (Fractal has debuted with a solo album in 2002.) Fractal has been performing with Lee Hyun Woo in concerts and albums and in this album, Fractal is playing a bigger role as a producer. With "Stay", which is similar to "Hae Uh Jin Da Eum Nal": a Lee Hyun Woo kind of song, as a starting song, album contains rock, hiphop, hardcore and more. This album can not be boring with all of its contents. "Stay" is the title song of this album. It contains a sampling of "When I dream" by Carol Kidd. His voice is perfect for the song. "Far Away" is anticipated to receive lots of love as well. "Sa Rang Eun Jook Uh Da" has a combination of Latin and deejaying. "Joong Dok", a pop ballad, has a great guitar session. "Ji Geum Nae Gae Pil Yo Han Gun" (Original Sound Track of "Wui Gi Eui Nam Ja") is listed as well. We already know what kind of joy a Lee Hyun Woo kind of ballad would bring, but this album is not only a ballad album. Other songs on this album would bring us more joy than ever. "Come On" and "Danger" are the most rhythmical pieces in this album. Fractal produced these two songs luring the listeners into the rhythm. Even though these two songs have heavy loads of Fractal's music style, if you were longing for rhythmical music from Lee Hyun Woo, these are the songs for you. "Mask" is a hardcore music. "Super Hero" has a great guitar session and Ils Kills performs as a guest rapper in "Just Another Day". There are many more to listen to in this album. The last song "Feel Your Pain", produced by Fractal, has an electonical sound to it. Repeating sounds of electrical sounds along with Lee Hyun Woo's dreamical voice are perfect in duets. With his main voice and color as the basic tool, musicians can add topping to the music. There are more than enough for people to taste and so, same kind of music is not going to last long. If music you are listening to can not blow away the boredom, then that music is not good enough for you.
