　　The riders of the apocalypse moved through the land and left nothing but the ì
　　seed of a very special fruit: you hear the pipes and the lovely chants of ì
　　love and death, sounds of the Medieval Ages go over the land and its ì
　　peoples. For 11 years now, we had the pleasure with the formation Corvusì
　　Corax, whose members - as everybody knows, of course, are also in the ì
　　rock formation Tanzwut. And whoever put his nose out of his cottage ì
　　past summer should have seen a gig by one of those two bands somewhere. For ì
　　so many places our musical friends have rocked. But that´s not all. After ì
　　the good and well-received last album of Tanzwut, the "unplugged" ì
　　version, the original, Corvus Corax, present their new output. ì
　　There is no end to the musical creativity of these heroes of Medieval sound ì
　　- best reason for us to go and talk to these guys on one of their tours. And ì
　　how easy it is nowadays where we don´t have to bang the drums to get in ì
　　contact with each other but can use the most up-to-date form of ì
　　communication: e-mail. So let´s see if this dialogue ain´t right for a ì
　　little talk. Who´s there?
　　"Hello worldwide net! Here are Castus Rabensang and Meister Selbfried ì
　　sitting in Ulm during the Tanzwut - ´Labyrinth der Sinne` (labyrinth of ì
　　senses)-Tour. We are two of the five pipers of Corvus Corax."
　　Nice to hear from you. With your new album, you consistently follow the path ì
　　of classic Medieval music that you have taken for some while now. What´s the ì
　　most important thing about the new album then?
　　"With the c.d. ´Viator`, two years ago, we have created a new style ì
　　which we have improved on the current album, ´Mille anni passi sunt`. ì
　　We exclusively used nature-instruments - we meanwhile own 80 different of ì
　　those instruments. Many of them are to quiet to use them on stage but in the ì
　　studio we could use them perfectly."
　　Surely, it is important that Corvus Corax could engage a very special ì
　　guest ...
　　"From the historic figure, Prinz Draculea Vlad III Tepes, reign of ì
　　the Wallachei in the 15th century, Bram Stoker in his book has made his ì
　　Dracula. For our c.d., we found a direct successor of his, Prince ì
　　Rodolphe Vlad Dracul Kretzulesco, who gives the Rumanian lyrics of the ì
　　title track, ´Mille anni passi sunt`, a very special feel and a very ì
　　mystic sound. We are proud to have found him and could persuade him for this ì
　　project. We are linked by the same walking on the thin line between invented ì
　　truth and historical verifiable."
　　You are using historical facts all the time.
　　"We have used and worked on songs and dances after Medieval ´Neumen` ì
　　(that´s the name for the Medieval musical notation) and transcribed them for ì
　　our own instruments. We allowed us the freedom to change things around a ì
　　bit, by which our modern use of the old material culminates in something ì
　　new."
　　In all your activity, I am surprised that you recorded albums with both of ì
　　your bands at the same time.
　　"We have worked on the new Corvus Corax album for one and a half ì
　　years. During this period, the songs have developed. And in first order, we ì
　　are live-musicians. After a tour or the summer-open air-season we were ì
　　looking forward to some creative studio works."
　　My proposal to go on a double-tour was not very welcomed.
　　"That would end this healthy schizophrenia ... those two bands are playing ì
　　two totally different styles of music. Corvus Corax exclusively play ì
　　unplugged. That an elemental character of the band. So the show of both ì
　　these bands could not be combined."

　　However, another tip of mine at the end of this page: listen to both the ì
　　albums of Tanzwut and Corvus Corax! And a last greeting of the ì
　　band to you:
　　"Have fun and rub your steaming sweaty bodies at each other when we .... ì
　　(could be something like ´play for you` ... but suddenly this ´coversation` ì
　　was over. So you have to decide for yourself if e-mailing is the best way to ì
　　get in contact for this type of reason.
