前半张好听大于后半张，同名真是相当可以了，比其他的硬波普更突出soul的元素，这张其实从封面到音乐总是被人低谷，不过也难免，sonny clark本身生涯也不短，40年代的bebop时代就出来了...作品积累相当丰富，难免会被会人忘记

Sonny Clark当年从西海岸来纽约简直是如鱼得水，这之后几乎是Blue Note的御用钢琴手。这位瘾君子的才华也似乎一点未受毒瘾的影响。这是他的个人处女作，这是典型的硬波普，基于布鲁斯的曲调，标题曲非常出色，已经显现一年后更有名的Cool Struttin录音同名曲的特质，Art Farmer尤其出色。
