Taylor Swift is, in a sense, a symbol of American femininity. She is stereotyped American woman (it would be odd now to use the word girl, right?): independent, extrovert, gifted, inclined to hog the spotlight, a bit of rebellious, and of course, very charming. She is the victim of her own reputation and controversy. Even a child would mock her long list of ex-lovers, yet Americans find it easy to be charitable and forgive, especially when it was Taylor who, over and over again, deliver songs that stir our sensations and feelings.
