悲剧英雄与当代政治 附：“猪族”（三只不一样的）歌词翻译

乐队贝斯手也是生产歌词的主力选手Roger Waters在我看来是一个不折不扣的“悲剧英雄”。

亚里士多德在他的《诗篇》里这样谈到 Tragic Hero（悲剧英雄）这个概念：悲剧英雄要激发起观众的怜悯情绪亦或是恐惧感。“一个人命运的转折不可以被简单视为是一个道德感极强的人从顺境跌入逆境的舞台剧”。换句话说，悲剧英雄的重点在于，意料之外的逆境使之成为更好的人 - 而当厄运降临到你我身上，我们会感到恐惧。

二战中失去父亲的 Roger Waters 更是把创作的主题放在战争和政治，比如自传式歌舞剧 Tonmmy，以及这张《动物》专辑。

根据 Songfacts 网站，这张专辑里的3种动物（狗羊猪）其实各有所指：猪是政府为主的道德权威，羊代表“猪”的跟随者-所谓虔诚的“基督信徒”和事件的“旁观者”，而狗代表猪的反对派-背后捅刀子的人。（Lee - Durham, NC）

不可否认，东西方文化和社会结构对什么是值得提倡和宣扬的价值体系有时有着本质的不同。而且随着历史的演进，即便是在西方，某些价值观也会随之发生变化。但是这首“猪族”却经久不衰，自1977年问世以来，每每出现在巡演曲目当中。而“气球猪”则成为了一个标志性的演出道具，最近的一次是在墨西哥城。油管上热门视频可以找到。
