就聽他已經很久了，這張專輯是這些年來聽過這麼多的唱片中最棒之一。Blood Orange 原名Devonté "Dev" Hynes基本是個音樂天才，他天生患有一種罕見的精神系統疾病Synesthesia，就是一種感官於另一感官相通。Blood Orange聽到的音樂和看到的色彩是相接的。一個單詞umbrella他會知道是代表紫色。
Dude's like, crazy talented. He knows how to play cello, guitar, piano, drums, violin, bass, and he sings, dances, produces, and inspires. Unlike everybody else who's obviously talented and "livin' it", he has little to do with drugs. He had been suffering from anxiety for pretty much all his life (Synesthesia is a mild case of autism), and he has conquered the obstacles that block his way to express himself in music and art. He's had many music projects before, and he feels bad for abandoning them but can't do nothing about it because the desire to constantly change and evolve is just too much. His girlfriend, Samantha Urbani, does most of the vocals in this album. She's like Dev in a lot of ways. She's not afraid to express herself, and she's one of the realest people ever. No pretentious bs, be true to everybody. In a way, Blood Orange reminds me of Michael Jackson. I was never a big fan, but I found similarity in the way MJ affected millions of people and how Blood Orange profoundly inspired me.
