Hellbringer - Hellbringer EP (Thrash Metal)
Label : Iron Pegasus Records
Year : 2011
Previously in the name of Forgery and have released one demo and one EP called "Hellbringer" which also have a killer cover compare to this one! Later they changed name directly to Hellbringer to avoid confusion with another band with same name playing some shitty modern thrash metal.
Well this is the same EP release we are talking about, but plus 2 bonus tracks, I have to say this is for sure one of the best (black) thrash album I have listened over the 20's, each song has its unique sounding and arrangement which is of course not bad! Luke has a very raw evil filthy vocal and you will find it pretty fascinating that he is not that kind of ultra-fast trend singing machine, instead, he tend to shout every word very clearly and tough, which reminds me a lot of Southern Of Heaven period Tom Araya, but in a even more brutal and aggressive way, the song structure also shows their unique talent that they know where to slow down and where to speed up, and fuck! it turns out they also know how to magically put them together and get your fucking head banging over and over again. Mastered by Harris Johns at mighty Music Lab, definitely a must have for all (black) thrasher, just get it and play!
Unfortunately, they managed to release a full-length under High Roller Records in 2012 which already showing a lot of weakness by the appeal modern sounding to me, but well, you can't have it all!
