The Silent Ballet的 一个短评
Zhai Ruixin, aka me:mo, made history last year by becoming the first Chinese artist on our end of the year list. Peking Scene became a standout amongst folktronica records last year by harnessing the charm of no.9 but also retaining many of the pop sensibilities that make it such a pleasant genre with which to spend a lazy weekend afternoon. Despite the simple sounding nature of the genre, folktronica is a difficult sound to hammer down because it requires the skillful touch of an artist who can balance the creative nature of electronica with the more stringent doctrine of pop and folk music. Ruixin's music comes to full bloom when the delightful melodies are matched with an appropriately robust complement of background sounds. Peking Scene is a distinctively blissful experience.
