德英译词
作为一张概念专辑，Faun以传说中的天国为主题中心，其中诸如‘Adam Lay Ybounden’ 和‘Golden Apples’ 的歌曲无不显示着种种天国典故之意像。然而Faun并没有局限于基督教的天国神话，从‘Hymn to Pan’ 和 ‘Arcadia’等歌名中，可以看出Faun在以天国乐园为基础主题的同时，为每一首歌曲选定不同时代背景与气氛，从而达到音乐与多源文化的完美融合，那些中古精神与神话传说，也许已佚散不再为现代主流文化所重视，却永远得以在这一次以音乐留存古文化的尝试中永存。
至于Eden的音乐风格，依然处于中规中矩的层面，既无惊艳之作，作为正统优美的异教民谣亦无差池。一些歌曲如第十首Alba在细品之下自然沁发出细腻温婉的感染力，总体来说并未有损一支大牌民谣团在萧条年月的风范。
由于Faun的创作团队多语演唱，而且其中词曲用典颇多，以下只能在能力范围之内试译德文和英文部分。

05 Adam Lay Ybounden
这首不打算翻译，原因有两点：一是此诗作出自古籍，还未有译文；二是创作语言为中古英语，虽然大体上意义明晰，也不难理解，但是互文过深，恐有误解误译，故而在此只做一点简要介绍。
"Adam lay ybounden",原为Adam lay i-bowndyn，15世纪佚名英语文本。原手稿为大英博物馆所藏，据推测为1400年左右游吟诗人所作，其上亦有其它诗作"I have a gentil cok"和著名抒情诗"I syng of a mayden"，以及两首谜语歌"A minstrel's begging song" 和 "I have a yong suster"。
维多利亚古物学家 Thomas Wright 认为虽然官方公认这些抒情诗来自英王亨利八世统治时期(1387–1422)，实际上这些歌曲可能起源与更早的时候。Wright 继续推测，在方言的基础上，这些抒情诗很可能源自沃里克郡，而且有相当一部分是为神秘剧所作。

Copshawholme Fair一首经常被民谣团改编再创作的歌曲。在早些时候，集市不止是用来取乐享受的地方，而是长期的会面场所，贸易占据着主导地位。它们被称作Hiring fairs或者Mop fairs，通常是一年一度。好像甚至在一战之后，集市仍然在坎伯兰郡实现着它的本来功能。在一天的交易过后盛行音乐、舞蹈以及其他的狂欢活动。Geoff Woods在卡莱尔的坎伯兰郡图书馆找到这首歌，自此以后这支歌被数度翻唱，先是Norman Alford，而后则是Robert Forester。
