八年後我仍然深愛著Finch
這是我聽Finch的心路歷程:
2002年
Finch的大碟What It Is To Burns, 那時候我是喜歡帶上手提CD播放器, 這CD一定是在我背包裹, 隨身無時無刻地聽, 不是喜歡那麼簡單, 而是痴狂的愛
2004年
他們開始發放第二張大碟發的新曲, "Brother Bleed Brother",Bitemarks and Bloodstains"和Ink等, 網上的點擊率我想有部份是我創造的
Nate Barcalow (主音): 那情感到位的聲音, 依然是我當時的最愛
Derek Doherty (低音結他) 的頭髮由細變大再變細了
Randy (結他) 的和音多交給了Marc allen, Alex Linares (結他)依然像一隻熊
Alex Pappas (舊專輯的鼓手): 那時候我覺得他的退出是可惜
Marc allen (新的鼓手): 在live的片段,給我要裝酷的感覺, 那時總喜歡舊的比較多
但今天我對Marc Allena既睇法已完全改變, 因我看了雜誌上R2K (Randy)的一段interview, 說樂隊對Marc的看法. 為何Alex Pappas (舊鼓手)要走, 一看便明白
Interviewer: Bringing in new people to a band can often the chemistry and sound, what kind of influence has Marc had on the new record?
(翻譯) 記者: 加入一個新成員通常都可以為樂隊加入化學作用, Marc在新專輯為你們帶來什麼改變?
R2K: Oh, He's had a huge influence. He actually wrote that's on the new record. The old dummer. Alex (Pappars) never wrote anything, we gave him writting credits and shit, but he never wrote anything else. Marc knows how to play chords, knows how to sing, he knows how to play guitar better than me. He funk'in rules man! Basically, he's the best thing that could have happened to our band overall.
(翻譯) Randy: 噢! 他為我們很大的改變. 他根本就是製作了整隻新專輯. 舊的鼓手 Alex (Pappars) 完全不參與任何創作部分. 我們給予他寫作的空間但糟糕的是他完全沒有寫過任何本份以外的東西. Marc懂和弦, 懂唱歌, 懂結他比而且比我更好. 他是那裡那麼厲害啊! 事實上, 他的加入是對樂隊最好的事情.
2005年
在購入第二張大碟之前我在Amazon網站先看了別人的留言,但正面的只有1/4左右, 大多都用Say Hello To Sunshine去比較舊碟,說聽舊碟而喜歡Finch的都不會喜歡新的CD,有的說到更是一文不值,只有封面好看,不買才是精明
我半信半疑的心態去買, 還記得HMV那時賣港幣110元, 放置在推薦的那一欄, 想也不想就買到回家
"Oh my god I think I'am blind",這是第一首歌的第一句詞, 對啊, 真的已經看不到也記不到amazon的評語, 只感覺到我的聽覺存在
覺得新專輯比舊專輯差的人, 我想他們看看以下的引句 (從雜誌訪問上看到的)
"The change came as we had a lot of time to think about what we were doing," explains Alex. "We forced ourselves to take time to break that touring momentum and just think about what we wanted to do."

"改變是來自我們用了很多時間去想我們在做什麼" Alex解釋
"我們強迫自己忘掉去巡迴的動力然後去想什麼是我們想做的"
Alex explains, "If we wrote 'What It Is To Burn II' It would have been swallowed up by everything else that's out there now."
Adds Nate, "Things change, time passes… We just want to make every CD something new.""This new material was something I was really into playing."
Marc states, "It sounded like a side-project. It was surprising how different it is from what I expected."

Nate接著說: 所有東西都在轉變, 時間飛逝....我們只想每一張專輯都有有不同的元素. 新的元素都是我以前已經真正想做的
Marc說 (新鼓手): 這好像是另一外隊做的東西 比起我原來期望的東西更有驚喜
2006年
我更聽過有人把"Say Hello To Sunshine"變為""Say Hello To moon light", 說就他們很快玩完
就在這年, 他們真解散了, 我的心也碎了
同年主音Nate Barcalow 組了另一隊樂隊Cosmonaut (太空人)
2009年
他們重組了以新的陣容重組了, 只留低了Nate Barcalow, R2K 和Alex Linares, 再次換上了鼓手和換了低音結他手
出了同名的免費專輯"Finch"
