What have you lost in a sigh

One day my friend gave me the version of this song sung by Super Junior, I said I don't like the way the boy was singing. His English is good but it's just that he sang too happilly.
I then relisten to the orginal version and remember long ago in high school when I first heard it from the tape. It was a tape named 'Best 10 English songs from Crazy English' or something. Its meaning was interpreted as 'lost of innocence' in the brochure. It really makes sense to me because I can feel that in the first half the singer is smiling when singing about the adventure. Sweet memories smells so mellow and fairy tale is fantastically real. Somehow, ' a drgaon lives forever but not so little boys'. I could even hear small sighs when Puff's 'head in bend in sorrow...'
There is a bit of joking way to interpret this song as about 'illeagal drugs'. Well, that's not absolutely ungrounded. As kids we live in a perfect world we choose to believe, and this world bring us peace and happiness. As we grow up the reality splits this world apart, our inner peace is then crashed and we resort to all kinds of relief. Drugs, alcohol, cigarette... all devil's blessings that can spare us some calmness when struggling in this indifferent reality. At times a slight sigh, reminds us of what we have lost.
Since the song is defined with such metaphor for me, I felt even a little angry when hearing it being sung briskly with grin. Not a lively song, and surely not for the kids...
