黑洞乐评
此张专辑同Walpurgis Night At Luisen Kirche Koenigsberg Live一样，主题并不是以寒冷等主题为主，但却一定要在秋冬之日这样寒冷的时节聆听，这似乎也是Neo-folk的某种潜质，想当时，刚听到这张专辑的时候，正是冬天里最为寒冷的那几天，而从Tales Of Men And Trees开始，第一声超级温暖的小提琴＋Ash超级温暖的声音就让我在那些天寒地冻的日子里彻底融化，融化彻底。当然，心冷之人，天气对于其自然毫无影响。
虽然有６首都是Luisenkirche Koenigsberg里的曲子的录音室版本，不算太新，但习惯了Ash在ＬＩＶＥ时候多少显得有些飘渺的声线，这次录音室版Ash声音也显得特别厚重，特别温暖．每首曲子都有在原作上精雕细啄后的感觉，异常的细腻动人，一些特殊的音效也处理的恰倒好处，例如，Noone To Follow中末尾的破碎玻璃声，正好对应歌词中的内容。
记得Ash曾说，这张专辑中的＜Serpents In The Dawn＞和＜Noone To Follow＞是最为代表代表其灵魂的作品，事实也正是如此，尤其是专辑同名曲目＜Serpents In The Dawn＞，在我看来尤其的接近Myspace上Ash对于Neutral感情基调的自叙：＂"a feeling of loss and regret＂唱到最后，唱到Just a shadow in the night 时，Ash的唱音也变得轻的几乎不见，似乎他把自己也变成其中一个阴影，融入夜晚。
黎明时的蛇，总是在寻找，可结果－－－只会是苦难和悔恨．这样的话语，这样的灵魂，必定只属于Ash自己的祖国。其实，关于对过去的回忆和感受，例如悔恨，痛苦等情绪，在大部分曲目的歌词中都有涉及，这似乎也成为整张专辑的主题。

Tales Of Men And Trees讲述一个开放性结局的故事，温暖的提琴一直穿插在故事当中，平添不少亲切感。
