在这星际中沉沦
这是Starsailor的首张专辑，乐队的中文名是星航者。发行时间是2002年，我买下专辑也应该就是在同年，专辑发行后不久。当时买的还是卡带，没错，就是卡带，现在看来真是够怀旧的。我确信，我会买下它，一定是因为它的封面吸引了我。向远处延伸的铁轨，似乎没有尽头，黄昏般唯美而又绝望的色调，呈现出的强烈的孤独感让我不禁想要落泪。因为在当时，还不像如今这样网络讯息发达，也没有那么多途径可以事先搜索到各种各样的唱片介绍。所以那时，买国外的唱片，基本都是凭封面，自然，最后好听的和不好听的都有。不过Starsailor的这张，真的是买对了。
那年还在念初中三年级，也就是在那年，我听了不少摇滚乐。那时的日子恶心得令人反胃，那时我什么都没有，只有音乐，每天都必须听音乐，当大伙在听那个初出茅庐才华横溢的周杰伦的时候，我开始听那些许许多多连名字都念不完整的外国摇滚乐队。
但通常，买回一张新专辑，我都会跳着听，因为有些歌实在不对胃口。给我印象最深的是，听卡带就有一点致命的不便——如果遇到不喜欢听的歌，得手动把它快进，那着实是很麻烦的事儿。而我又喜欢在写作业的时候听歌，所以常常是边写着写着，就不得不跑去鼓捣录音机，这多少都会导致我分心。而Starsailor的这张《Love Is Here》，却是极为难得的，能让我一口气完整听完，中间完全不需要快进的专辑，从A面听到B面，从B面听到A面，没听够，就再从头听过去。因此在当时的环境下，它是我的最爱。
这张专辑带给我的震撼是无以言表的，虽然在当时我还并不懂得什么英伦摇滚之类的门类，但是我只能说，这张专辑中的每一首歌，都比别人的主打歌还好听。主唱James Walsh妖娆的嗓音和颤抖的唱腔无疑是最亮点，时至今日仍觉得是独树一帜。那悲伤的歌声陪伴我度过了那阴郁的一日又一日。当时的感受如今是不能再重新拼贴完整了，但闭上眼，还是可以想象当时躺在床上，听着这音乐，感觉身体慢慢下坠，下坠的情境。
我并无意怀旧，只是这张专辑，让我又不得不怀旧了一把。在如今有如此多的音乐选择的情况之下，若是初次听这张专辑，或许并不会觉得有那么巨大的惊艳，但是在当时，它真的太棒了，近乎完美。
