Well, that's what it is ---- a replacement copy. I love music, all kinds of music EXCEPT RAP ! A couple of years ago I was driving to Las Vegas, and while out on a lonely desert highway road at 2 in the morning I heard Enya's "Only Time" over the radio. I have never done this before, but I had to know the name of that selection and who the artist was ---- so I pulled over to the side of the highway and stopped to listen to the announcer for awhile. HE NEVER DID COME BACK AND SAY WHO IT WAS OR WHAT THE TITLE WAS --- and it was driving me crazy, so I pulled over to a telephone booth and called the radio station (my cell phone didn't work out there). As soon as I reached 'Vegas, and once the stores opened, I went to a Music Dealer and bought a copy. I have played this CD so much that the CD player in my Jeep won't accept it any longer (too many small scratches from sliding it in and out of the CD sleeve on the driver's side visor). So I bought a better, more protective CD file for the car, and now I'm replacing four or five CD's that all have these little "storage scratches" on them. I can't say that I absolutely love every selection on this CD, but I have to have my Enya fix with "Only Time" on it every once in a while. Try it and you'll see what I mean.

A Day Can't Go By Without Me Listening To Enya...

When hearing this album for the first time, I was immediately entranced by the music. It sounded so different from anything I heard in the past. Immediately, I decided to buy the album right away! And since then, I have not regretted it.
To me, the music displayed here was exceptionally beautiful. It went through my veins, reached into my soul and put a subtle calm feeling I just can't describe. I never knew music could make me feel this way...a bunch of emotions attacking me at once. At first, I thought something was wrong with me! And yet, once I thought about it...I realized only true artists are capable of doing that to a person. And Miss Enya is truly a gifted artist.
Within this album, each track had its own indidivual story, its different style of music, and its own impact within the listeners' hearts. Personally, I just loved the effort she put into this album. You can tell she put her heart and soul into it, which makes the music much more enjoyable to listen too if you ask me.
I loved this album very much. I can't find myself skipping a single track, the quality of it is extremely high from start to finish.
Overall, a terrific album to own for any Enya fan.

Excellent, even though...

This is my favorite Enya CD with Watermark being a very close second. Rarely do I find an album where I enjoy every track and actually listen to the entire CD from start to finish. This is one of those rare ones. As some others have pointed out, there are some musical themes here that seem repetitious of previous works. While it would be nice if every musician could come up with something totally unique with every song they compose, it just doesn't happen. If you analyze any artist who has produced more than 30 songs you will find some repetition somewhere. It is almost impossible to not repeat things that are just so good, musically, and these often become part of the artist's "signature". So instead of nit picking such details, I just enjoy these parts as old familiar friends that I enjoyed before and enjoy each time they come around. I highly recommend this album to anyone who has enjoyed any of Enya's other works. She is really a complete master of the subject.

Soothing, Delightfully Mystical

A year ago, I was completely "enya"gnorant...I had no idea who this wonderful artist was. Then I heard "Only Time," and I was instantly captivated and mesmerized. My passion became a quest--a quest to find the artist and the CD that this single belonged to. Last January, A DAY WITHOUT RAIN and I were united; I've been blissfully content ever since. This CD is audio tranquility without peer, a soothing and relaxing respite from our frantic, frazzled world. The music conjures up colorful images from days long past: a minstrel in a king's hall, a maiden in a meadow. As a devoted "Tolkienite," I imagine hearing the voice of Enya singing softly in the background as I read about the grandeur of Rivendell, or the peaceful landscape of the Shire. (And does it come as any surprise that Enya is on the "Lord of the Rings" soundtrack?) A DAY WITHOUT RAIN cannot be recommended more highly, even from a burned-out ex-rocker like myself. "Deora Ar Mo Chroi" has GOT to be music from Heaven itself!
