在所有的乐评中,the guardian的Alexis Petridis (🌟🌟🌟🌟)最后一段写的更为中肯,“There is a chance Solar Power might capture a widespread mood in the same way that Pure Heroine’s highlighting of the gulf between pop’s projection of glamour and teenage life did in 2013. … Then again, the relatively underwhelming commercial performance of its singles thus far suggests not. Listening to Solar Power, you wonder whether its author wouldn’t actually prefer the latter response to the former.”
对Lorde来说,这张专辑是 her ”secrets from a girl (who’s seen it all)”, 她表达了自己远离vanity和fame的意向,向听众摊开了她的世界观花园。”Goodbye to all the bottles, all the models, bye to the clouds in the skies all hold no rain. don’t want that california love.”
对于认为新专辜负了预期和等待的人,Lorde也已经在专辑中给出了她的答案 “now if you are looking for a savior, well, that’s not me.” —The Path;
“cause all the music you loved at sixteen, you’ll grow out of”
