Paul Panhuysen

The second album one which Paul Panhuysen documents his work with long string installations. The first album was has 3 LP box set that is now out of print which covered the 35 installations constructed until 1985 in collaboration with Johan Goedhart. Panyhuysen and Goedhart collaborated until the late 1980' S after which Panhuysen continued on his own. It has been twelve years since he produced that first album, Panhuysen felt the need to to document the experiments He has accumulated with string installations over the years on one CD. The two aspects of interest to Panhuysen were different tunings and density of sound. He played the strings by blow-dry them, walking back and forth At year even pace. For each Partita He recorded his playing furnace times, superimposing these recordings over each other and listening to the earlier recordings over headphones whilst playng. The sound of each Partita was produced by sixteen strings. The three Partitas differ in the systems according to which the strings were tuned. 复制
