Moon Safari在2010年发布我认为是他们最佳专辑的Lover's End后，于2012年发布了这张ep，只有一首歌，但长达25分钟。之所以叫Pt. III，是因为在Lover's End中包含了这一组曲的pt1和pt2。我至今依然感到可惜的是，如果乐队将这首歌算入Lover's End中，那么这张专辑将名留青史（按照篮球俗语——将会绝杀！），因为这首史诗实在是太强了。乐队在童年不仅有live发布，还在日本发了张ep就叫The Lover's End Trilogy，收录了这三部曲，但pt1的部分是一个Alternate Version。

Lover's End Pt. III Skelleftea Serenade不同于乐队之前的超长史诗（如We spin the world和The Other Half Of The sky），它具有一个一直重复和不断变化、升华的主旋律，用多种乐器演奏，时而宁静时而狂野激情。虽然复杂但始终保持着简单的优雅，毫无空洞的填充物和拖时间。虽然这一主题在pt1中就已经披露，但在pt3中它更是大放光芒。从这一点来说，三首史诗里我更喜欢这一首。We spin the world和The Other Half Of The sky多少令人有点像置身于迷宫里的感觉，抓不住一条主线，实际上我更喜欢美丽的We spin the world更多点，它最后的吉他很感人，而The Other Half Of The sky太长了，听得有些意兴阑珊。Skelleftea Serenade自然绝不是那种类似close to the edge的史诗，它更纯粹动人，流行交响的神作。

说回Skelleftea Serenade，它名为谢莱夫特奥小夜曲。谢莱夫特奥是乐队祖国瑞典北部的一个城市。这首歌单看歌词，似乎表达了多种离别的情绪，符合end这个主题，优美而悲伤。首先是关于爱情的终结，主人公似乎一直在等待爱人，但最后不是个好的结局，一种可爱而无奈的心伤。另一个主题似乎是关于谢莱夫特奥这座城市的某种意义上的终结的，虽是家乡，但经过多年终究有变化，主人公似乎认为自己要告别这座古城，但在心中依然不会离开家乡。这是一个关于终结和迷失的故事，“生活不过是一间候车室”完美地总结了这些离愁别绪。当然还要结合pt1和pt2来看。音乐上我就不多说了，完美无瑕、毫无尿点就足以形容了。五星五星。
