He thought the essence of what he had actually been devoting himself to what he had adored and pursued: narmely the music 。 COLTRANE and ROLLINS and others. In due course, he was forced to give up a large part of what he had accumulated during the years. The majority of you who have bought this disc surely know much about this great artist and so | will refrain from touching on his profile. | would only like to emphasize that he is prosumably the last existing “BOPPER”of the world. The tunes that make up this disc have been selected from the abovested live at "SOMEDAY”and put together to comprise "volume 1". In this volume, we can enjoy an even more amazing play compared from to STEVE'S previous live album, the famous "Evin Johnes Live at Lighthouse with Steve".
STEVE is known for the sound he produces, and he has the ability to do so with any instrument he is given. (During this live STEVE also had to use an instrument other than his own because one of the tampions had failed to work. The substituting saxophone was provided by courtesy of ISHIMORI Musical Instrument Store.) Especialy the firs tune is played with such a high tension that the sound of the blows is large enough to destroy the general sound effect system if transferred directly onto the disc. Therefore, the frequency of the blows have been reduced by "30db'、AlSO in the first tune, some unpleasant noises can be heard due to some trouble with one of the microphones and due to howling which had occurred, thank you for your under-standing. SHIGENOBU MOU MORI.
