Love is Ocean Deep

初听这首歌时，有段旋律好像在90年代的某部电影出现过，影片在结尾处回顾那些美好瞬间，我说不出电影的名字，但旋律却似曾相识。或许我听过优客李林的版本却过眼云烟，直到今天我听到原唱Cliff Richard的版本，深深为之倾心。

根据Cliff Richard在一次采访中回忆道：这首歌是由两名业余作曲作词人Rod Trott 和 Jon Sweet邮寄给他的，而他却不当回事，一直忽略了3个月，直到有一次巡回演出时突发奇想来听听，结果一听就大为喜爱。最早发行于1983年的"Silver"专辑中，这一年Cliff 43岁。这首歌后来成为Cliff Richard的标志性歌曲，是他的乐迷投票1984— 2009期间最喜欢的歌曲。网上的歌曲来源于1988年专辑Private Collection。

这首情歌旋律温柔，演唱娓娓道来又带着忧伤，歌词如一首动人情诗，感情真挚，刻画了一位暗恋对方却不敢表达的男子，压抑火山般爱恋而孤独万分的心境。相比之下，如今美国流行乐情歌的歌词充斥着party, champagne，Lamborghinis，love the shape of your body, Versace on the floor诸如此类的及时行乐、纵情狂欢，把欲望当成爱情。现在再听这首83年的Ocean Deep，简直是股清流，我喜欢那个年代的纯情、简单、真诚，我来告诉你我眼里的爱情是什么样子的。
