I don't get it
There are several annoying aspect about this 1973 release that is definitely offputing.
1. Peter Gabriel's voice's shit.
2. The record was UNDER-produced. I was shocked at how muddy and clogged it sounded because I enjoyed a lot of music released at the same time.
3. The omnipresent sound of cheap synthesizers got on my nerve.
4. Worst of all, the band got all too serious on song structure and tried too hard to sound sophisticated, which got a BIG YAWN from me.
Overall, the band aimed too high and between what they got and what they expected is a big gap.
