#Some Background# 这首歌改编自一首古老的歌谣，最早可以追溯到18世纪的苏格兰。故事讲述的是一个女人怀了男人的孩子，但是那个男人却另觅新欢。她因爱生恨，用刀捅死这个负心汉，并把尸体扔到了河里。没有人看到她行凶，除了一只小鸟，小鸟唧唧喳喳的声音让她疯狂不已。她千方百计地把小鸟从树上引诱下来，小鸟还挺聪明，没有上她的当。最后尸体从河底浮现，东窗事发。
#Urban Legend# 卫报报道：一名64岁的意大利女性在2013年雇佣四名西西里黑手党成员，将她的前男友活活地砌在了水泥柱子里。6年之后，当地村庄翻新，意外地发现了柱子中的尸体。这位女性承认作案动机是她憎恨被她的阿尔巴尼亚前男友无情的抛弃，那个男人还偷走了她的珠宝。
#Case Analysis# 据不完全但又蛮可靠的统计，在所有谋杀案件中，情杀的比例要占超过1/3，个别地区甚至超过一半。其中，男性谋杀女性要占多数。男人对女人可以说出最甜蜜的话，他们下手的时候也绝不手软，他们的内心对女性的厌恶从来没有消失过。在男权社会中，男人多多少少有一点厌恶女性的心态（Misogyny）。开膛手杰克就是其中一个最极端的例子，他专门杀害堕入风尘的妓女。而女性杀害男性的案例相对较少，因为稀少，这类案件更容易被人津津乐道。女性群众会为女杀手暗自拍手叫好，男性群众也会大肆宣扬和丑化女杀手，彷佛在这个社会男性才处于弱势地位。
