David Reiter is an award-winning poet and writer of fiction, and Director of IP, a print and digital publisher in Brisbane, Australia. His fourth book, Hemingway in Spain and Selected Poems, was shortlisted for the 1998 Adelaide Festival Awards. His previous books include The Cave After Saltwater Tide (Penguin, 1994) for which he won the Queensland Premier’s Poetry Award. His book of short fiction, Triangles, was shortlisted for the 2000 Steele Rudd Award. His more recent works are The Gallery, interactive multimedia; Kiss and Tell, Selected and New Poems 1987-2002; and Sharpened Knife, a multimedia murder mystery. IP released his novel Liars and Lovers in 2003, and The Greenhouse Effect, a novel for junior readers, was published by Lothian Books in 2004 and is now being considered for production as an animated film with the support of Cutting Edge. My Planets, a fictive memoir in multimedia, has completed a phase one CD with the Arterial Group with a grant from Arts Queensland and his theatre script, Paul & Vincent, was produced by IP Digital in 2004 with 4MBS Classical FM, followed by the release of a multimedia CD last year. A DVD version of Hemingway in Spain is currently in post-production.
