Hailing from Sweden, Dark Funeral was formed in 1993 by Lord Ahriman and Blackmoon (David Parland). They later joined forces with Draugen and Themgoroth and eventually recorded, in 1994, their self-titled (and self-financed) debut album at Uni-Sound studio: they released it on the 4th of May, the date where the band also played their very first gig.
