Biffy Clyro

Biffy Clyro are a Scottish rock band from Kilmarnock,comprising Simon Neil (guitar, lead vocals), James Johnston (bass, vocals) and Ben Johnston (drums, vocals). After their first three albums, the band expanded their following significantly with the release of their fourth, Puzzle in 2007. The album went gold in the UK, selling over 100,000 units. Biffy Clyro's popularity was built upon further in 2008 and 2009 with the release of the singles "Mountains" and "That Golden Rule", which both reached the top 10 of the UK singles chart. Their latest album, Only Revolutions, reached #3 in the UK chart and went gold within days of its release in 2009, later going platinum in 2010 and was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize.

　　2002年至2005年间，Biffy Clyro在独立厂牌Beggar's Banquet下发行了三张专辑Blackened Sky(2002.03.11), The Vertigo of Bliss(2003.06.16), Infinity Land(2005.02.14). 乐队在几年间马不停蹄的在各地巡演，积累了一批数量不多却异常忠实的歌迷群。2006年签约华纳之后，Biffy Clyro在加拿大录制了第四张专辑《Puzzle》。《Puzzle》在评论届得到了空前的好评，不少媒体给出了几近完美的评价，帮助专辑在发行第一周爬上了英国榜第二名的位置。据统计，《Puzzle》的销量在2009年2月已超越白金（30万）。

　　2009年，随着《Only Revolutions》的发行和单曲《Mountains》的大受欢迎，乐队向主流市场再度迈进。《Only Revolutions》在2009年11月9日发行几日内便成为金唱片（10万），随后在2010年达到白金销量，并且入围了英国举足轻重的水星奖。英国Q音乐杂志和NME杂志2010年12月发行刊物中都提到截至2010年12月，《Only Revolutions》的英国销量已达45万张。
