A classically-trained pianist, Jang evokes a sense of tranquility and serenity with her exquisite minimalist compositions. Born in Taipei, Jang began playing the piano at age three and later studied with Professor Ma, Yo Yo Ma's father. Upon moving to the United States, she enrolled at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Jang took a sabbatical to raise her two children and re-entered the musical world with her stunning Narada debut, SWEET DREAMS. I enjoy melody. For me to tell a story in music, melody is very important. I also value simplicity. My living environment and the objects I surround myself with are very minimal. 张米亚是一位来自台北的新世纪钢琴家，也是NARADA唱片公司多年来第一位力推的华裔艺人。她三岁开始接受古典音乐训练，出生于台北，后来毕业于旧金山音乐学院。这张专辑是她在家中哺育孩子的同时而创作，在这些音乐中，有她与家人共处的温馨时光、有童年时走过台北街道的甜蜜回忆，也有她作为一位母亲的轻柔摇篮曲。这是最近台湾天空的钢琴诗篇。诗篇中，有许多张米亚与我们共享的生活点滴，或激情、或回荡。闭上眼，你似乎看到那个在群山环抱下的城市，在夜晚的星辰中，不夜地照亮整个盆地，深夜里，有梦、有歌、有哭泣也有欢笑。
