The proper title for this Prometheus CD should be JULES ET JIM/LA CLOCHE THIBÉTAINE because almost half of the disc is music from the Delerue-scored 1975 mini-series. Equally important is that the CD includes a symphonic suite (in mono) of the music from JULES ET JIM and not every key track from the film. Also, if one is looking for Jeanne Moreau's rendition of Bassiak's "Le tourbillion", it is not included (it can be found on the Philips recording JEANNE MOREAU - LE TOURBILLON [848 484-2]). A more current, stereo recording of some of the film's music can be found on the Nonesuch release, GEORGES DELERUE: MUSIC FROM THE FILMS OF FRANÇOIS TRUFFAUT.
