Being a genius, the artist named Prince plays multiple musical instruments, writes his own songs, and does all the arrangements. His musical influence seems come from a great variety of sources. He funks, punks, rocks, souls, pops, and hip-hops. And the result is that you never get tired of his music. Prince, now in his fifties, doesn't seem aged. He is still the person who can make a scene in terms of music. Some chick wrote some where that Prince was the only fifty-year-old singer that can sign their breasts. well, that was a strong statement, not only because Prince still has sexual appeal to women but also proved that his music still echoes with the time. When other rock artists faded, or turn their music tastes toward more complicated music such as Jazz( Sting, in this case), Prince still brings loud, raw, and screams like when we first heard him in 1980's. Prince is a guitar hero, but largely underrated. His guitar playing is quite Jimi Henderix-esque in my opinion, which delivers strong emotional message. He guitar sings, weeps, screams, moans, and flirts in the music. The interaction between guitar and other instruments is tightly integrated. The guitar tone is tube powered, which delivers a raw and warm sounding. I found that the album is much guitar oriented, the come back of the guitar solo is exciting. Every song has a catchy melody as always. It seems that Prince's Muse has always been with him all these years, and his music shines... like a crazy diamond. Rock on, Prince.

"You are entering one of the most mysterious misunderstood places on face of the earth..." a deep echoing voice states in the intro, and Mr. Buckethead let his guitar run the geographic surface of this area. Introduce the KIllswitch, a button on a guitar that memotarily mute the audio. Mr. Buckethead uses such a device to generates that off-on heavily distorted licks, which bear a resemblance to notorious woodpecker signals Soviet Union sent around the world annoying many short-wave radio listeners in the eighties. But this woodpecker sound best represents the mysterious areas such as Bermuda Triangle. An instrumental album requires much of your imagination to appreciate it, I find that many of the instrumental music are best for background music, but this album stands out, it's interesting, it has many repeated licks in conjunction with electronic elements--programmed drums, sample speeches, as well as DJ things. Mr. Buckethead 's guitar genre explores into many fields, shredding, of course, noise-making, soloing, duh! maybe finger-picking, and those licks are fascinating to listen to. I am surprised that I have listened so many times in days. As a child, I loved reading those mysterious stuff, I carried those magazines around--the disappearance of Flight 19, Third contact, unexplainable phenomenon. This album brings me back to those days. Here I hooray for Mr. Buckethead for his creativity, his imagination. I have seen this early interview with Buckethead, he seems to have speech problems, but his guitar says for him, and it's articulate and loud, and it's convincing.
Outlaw complex
Look at the cover, man. 唱片封面是“The good, the Bad and the Ugly" 一类电影封面的Parody,站在荒地上的三个人,New Frontier 时期的outlaw彪悍的样子,特别是那条披肩,让人瞬间想到所有西部电影中的俗套。 上个世纪九十年代,我买过一张CD, 叫《Power Ballad》,里面净是一些Hair Metal 时代的大俗曲儿。 但...(0回应)

The album is radioactive
By the end of the year, I hunted this long-lost treasure. That was 1980's, and I spent hours watching MTV's music videos. The radioactive song was weirdly fascinating, and I fell in love with the rhythm pattern, the bassline and the guitar noises. Today, as a lightening strike, All of sudden...(0回应)
