A French friend of mine introduced the works of Peter Cincotti to me the other day. When I got his album, I was amazed by the fact that he is so young as a jazz singer, pianist and songwriter. The 23-year-old (his debut album was launched at the age of 19) native New Yorker has been writing music since the age of nine. I listened to it later, and was blown away. Cincotti'sdelivery is warm, urbane and relaxed his piano certainly sounds as if it is a spiritual channel, full of country and blues but vocally delivered with grace and finesse.
