对于苍白恍惚的声音总缺乏抗体。 譬如前年Animal Collective - Feel后半段的几首嗑药歌，或是去年Radiohead的All I Need跟Reckoner，而今年这时候有了Deerhunter；这样说并不代表Deerhunter的音乐可以类推前两者，这三者可以说没任何关连，但在主观的情感上，他们都给我类似的脱离感。 专辑第一首Cover Me (Slowly)里的音墙就像猎人莫老五吐了一大口烟瞬间把空间包围，这是这张专辑决定性的一刻，迷离的噪音立刻就创造出我所谓的脱离感。 紧接着的Agoraphbia仿佛搭上电车，在稳定的节奏上，吉他有如雨点一滴一滴绽放在车窗玻璃，心神随着旋律早已不知飘到何方。 Never Stops则提醒了去年聆听Blonde Redhead - 23的美好时刻。不若Silently闪耀甜美，Never Stops多了一层薄薄的火山灰。 Microcastle梦呓般的喃喃细语被紧接而来的噪音划破宁静，噪郁过后马上又是软到不能再软的两首迷幻民谣Green Jacket 、 Activa；如果跟我一样喜欢Animal Collective的Sung Tongs ，一定对这两首感到无法自拔。 专辑主打Nothing Ever Happened绝对是高潮，律动感十足的Bass、乎高乎低的吉他白色噪音声线跟旋律，十足朗朗上口。 最后两首Neither Of Us. Uncertainly 、 Twilight At Carbon Lake是我的最爱。 尤其Twilight At Carbon Lake不断让我想到电影「王牌冤家（Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind)」里的男主角。 在好久没有放晴的城市，只身前往未知方向寻找未知的什么；知道有个东西在撑着自己往前，但是什么？ 迷离又暴力的音墙是一场大雪，专辑短短41分钟就在雪中划下句点。

清晨的阳光，透过高耸茂密植被的缝隙缓缓洒落下来，尚未散尽的薄雾，笼罩着我似有似无的梦境，这张来自伦敦的新派迷幻音乐作品《Our Sleepless Forest》，把我从南方城中村的夹缝中，拖回寂静的森林，它是这个夏天最美好的声音。 　　 　　这张《Our Sleepless Forest》,是由Sam Purcell、Josh Rothberger和Karl Jawara三名学生组成的同名乐队的首张专辑，求学时期他们已经开始了对于低音迷幻/摇滚美学的拓展，先后向澳洲和北美音乐作品取经，经过14个月时间最后得出首张专集《Our Sleepless Forest》。是一个年轻的同名乐队的首张专辑，很有气势，运用风洞录音，低档音轨，属于典型的伦敦新迷幻摇滚，相似的欧洲乐队很多，但这张无疑很强，有点类似于Samara Lubelski、Jack Rose，大自然空旷的Field Recording，配合层层迭迭的电子效果处理，渗透出黑暗且缓慢的感觉，犹如置身于茂密安静森林之中，跟乐队名字相当匹配。 　　 　　Our Sleepless Forest以少年心气，融合前卫音乐中的时尚元素，因此现在已经成为整个欧洲最够红的年轻乐队。 入选了最近的the wire tapper，受到独立/实验音乐界的共同垂青，真不多见。 　　 　　 　　Our Sleepless Forest is a London group who create a blend of Ambient and psychedelia. Josh Rothberger, Karl Jawara and Sam Purcell have been making music together for two years. “Nomads” is the first song on their debut album on Resonant, which they completed when they were aged 17. 　　There’s been a hubbub of positive noise about the band for months now, usually accompanied with an aside that they are young enough to make the Arctic Monkeys seem like wizened old timers. “Nomads” is their contribution to Wire Tapper. And it’s very good indeed. It has echoes of Susumu Yokota as a muted skank rhythm underpins an ambient stroll through the babble of a tropical rain forest. Actually that makes it sound like one of those fucking awful ethno-ambient crusty acts from the mid nineties. It sounds nothing like that at all.
