I shall take a moment to comment on this CD. Natasha St-Pier is quickly becoming one of my favorite pop vocalists. Her voice is smooth with great range: gentle but not quiver; powerful but never pitching. One thing great about NST is that her albums are getting better with each endeavor. This 2003 effort is one of her best work. It is contemporary but not too poppy, soulful but not stale. It showcases her great vocal with right touch of pop music. Each track, from first to last, is very enjoyable - the same can not be said about most of todays pop albums. Each track also offers something different, unique in its own ways. Aside from the vocal and music, I also like the instrumental arrangement, which often has a orchestral feel to it. Fantastic! Oh, in case you are wondering, I'm not very good at French. But I don't think not knowing the language will prevent you from enjoying the album in this case. In fact, it may save you from distractions from music. Although I have to say the lyrics are thoughtful too. Better than high-piping Celine Dior IMO.

(All of these lines across my face)那句让我不自禁地想翻下前座的镜子瞄一眼。
(All of these lines across my face)那句让我不自禁地想翻下前座的镜子瞄一眼。 Alanis Morrisette? 那声声质问的You ought to know? bye-bye, miss American pie. Drove my chevy to the levee, But the levee was dry. And them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die. this’ll be the day that I die." crossed the lines, broke the rules的事其实俺也做过,bye-bye American pie也是生活,但故事大凡是不能讲的。
